Germination Requirements: Seed is hydrophilic, intolerant of dry storage.Seed will germinate upon being shifted to 70°F after 90 - 140 days of moist, cold stratification at 40°F. Seed germinates only after multiple cycles of warm and cold, typically 40°-70°F.

Details/Comments: Species of gravely lake shores. Rare in the wild. Have fleshy elaiosomes, must be sown fresh.
